IAPP currently lists 100 AIGP multiple-choice questions in 2.75 hours. Use the current published exam blueprint to map study coverage before booking an exam.

What the exam covers

The current AIGP outline groups the exam into the following study areas.

  1. Foundations of AI governance
  2. Laws, standards and frameworks
  3. Governing AI development
  4. Governing AI deployment and use

Domain allocation table

The current blueprint gives a minimum and maximum question range for each domain. Version 2.1 took effect on 2 February 2026.
